Article Reviews #7: More From Around The Net
I'm working on a project on my flagship blog. While working on the project, I've been coming across some good information, some enjoyable humor, and some references to things I've written about over there.
I'm going to share as much of it as I can and here we go.
- Holly at Woman Tribute wrote about tackling spam for good. She mentioned Defensio as a service that I thought would be comparable to Akismet. From checking out their site, however, I'd say it's probably much better than Akismet. I may have to start using it.
- Shamim at the TeqEdge Blog published a list of the Top 10 Ways To Kick Your PC In The Nuts. I don't agree with the last item, but that's just me.
- Over at Untwisted Vortex, I asked "Are You Willing To Blog Until You Drop?" Well, the blogger (I didn't see a name) at The Big Life wrote how not to die from blogging and offered relaxation techniques to help us slowwwwww down.
- I mentioned Twitter a couple of times on my other blog. K of ShanKri-la wrote even more about how Twitter is here to stay and said that I inspired him to write it. I love inspiring people.
- Michael Kwan published 7 handy Google search tips and tricks at Beyond the Rhetoric. I thought I knew what I'd be reading, but I leaned 2 or 3 things I didn't know before.
- Josh, at his Unconventional Marketing Blog explained how blogging is a game of inches. He's absolutely right and the videos he included to emphasize his points were perfect choices.
- Frank wrote an interesting article on eBay category selection for BANS (build a niche store) over at OpTempo. If you're thinking of building a BANS site, this will definitely help you.
- Rocky of Blogging Mix made some good points when he wrote why reciprocal links don’t work. Reciprocal links do work, but only in a specific way that makes them appear as one-way links. I'll continue with that line of reasoning on my other blog.
- Back in February, Kathy at The Junk Drawer listed "10 Things I Don’t Have the Guts to Do" and drew a lot of comments. I was going to do the same thing at UV, but I decided against it. I have the guts to do just about anything.
- Breakaway of the Link Building Bible announced that the best DoFollow search engine is coming soon and that he's the one making it. I'll be following along to find out exactly how he intends to do it.
