Blog Review: Pop Critics
This is a blog that's co-authored by the team of Mike Olbinski of A Mike Life and Jason Clark of Jason A Clark, both of which I've visited from time to time. I'm not here to talk about either of those blogs, so I'll skip any more pleasantries.
What is "Pop Critics" all about?
These two guys write the latest news on what they think is good and popular, or what they believe will be good and popular in the future. Most of it concerns movie and television, but there are other things written about on occasion.
Site Design
The theme is customized from the original Visionary WordPress theme. I can't tell you what the original looks like because the demo there doesn't connect to the database (which is quite irritating). Regardless, the customizations are obvious.
There are more than enough navigational items to get around. I had no difficulty looking for everything I was looking for. Few blogs have everything needed, but this one does.
I didn't mention whether I like the theme colors or anything yet, but I do. Of course, any blog owner worth their salt will make sure the theme looks good.
Article and Post Content
I've enjoyed reading a few of the articles. I'll point out that I really enjoyed Mike's "Battlestar Galactica recap: The Ties That Bind (S4×05)" after I watched the episode myself. Nevertheless, I need to mention some minor spelling errors I caught, one of them in a name. I won't specify them, but Mike should see them if he goes back and rereads the article.
I also enjoyed the picture that Jason provided in "Sweet Pic of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in X-Men Origins: Wolverine".
My Overall Opinion
There was only ONE blog I went to for popular entertainment news. I now have TWO to go to.. Do I need to say any more?
Would you like a Review?
My reviews are not the best, and I won't pretend they're even close to being the best, but they're free! You can't beat that with a stick. Submit your blog on my Request A Blog Review page and I'll see if I can do your blog justice.

I read Pop Critics all the time, since I get all their articles in my email. It helps out a lot. I don't have enough time to watch all the shows I would like. Their in depth recaps help me keep the story lines straight when I miss a couple episodes, and once in a while they remind me of what's coming up. Good job over there, Mike and Jason!

I tried to do it by email, but a lot of them get eaten by Google's spam filter and I have to go fetch them. I use the RSS feeds instead because of that. Even then, I can't keep up.

Thanks for the review RT! One of the hardest things for me when I write is 1) spelling and 2) remembering details…I tend to spellcheck on the fly and hate going back and reviewing a long blog. And then sometimes I write recaps, and remember bad items in shows that I've "mis-remembered."
@ Tim - Glad you like the site, and knowing you use it to keep up on shows makes me want to keep doing a better job!

I think I found the spelling error, was it Gaeta's name?
